We are looking to construct a 500mm retaining wall to split our sideways sloping yard into two levels. Attached is a photo of the look we want to achieve , how would others go about it ? We were considering constructing a sleeper retaining wall and then cladding in decking material but aren’t sure of the best process. Being wood we are aware that it will eventually need replacing, but would obviously want to maximise longevity !
