Couch invading empire zoysia

Hi there, short of killing off my lawn and starting again, is there a targeted approach to removing couch from an empire zoysia lawn. The zoysia is definitely dominate, but I'm concerned when it's time to verticut, that the couch will grab a hold as the EZ is slow to recover.

I had this problem and fixed it with a selective herbicide called Fluazifop. It’s commercially available in products called Fusilade or Apparent Salvo 212. You need to be careful in the rate that you apply it, but I applied 2ml over 50sqm in a 5L sprayer and after 7-10 days it was clear that the chemical had targeted the couch and left the zoysia relatively unscathed. You may need to do this once a month for a few months to rid yourself completely of it.
