lawn now, or wait?

Hi,

I am now in a position to work on my landscaping. I was planning on starting in the spring, but as luck would have it, one of us came to be out of work and a number of things were put on hold.

So my question is, should I wait till after summer to start my lawn and other landscaping or with Fu's guide should I be able to do this during the summer? Location is Westerns sub Melbourne. Clay soil (will be conditioned), likely a couple of heatwavey periods between now and Feb.
i prefer to start lawns around easter as the roots become stronger before the big heat of summer
it actually depends on whether its winter or summer grass. The advise above would be more suited for winter grass. Single is always best because we get plenty of rain. summer grass is most active now but needs a lot of water. If you have plenty of water available then it would be ok.
Do it, the hotter the better for warm season grasses in melb.

Don't think it matters if you do it right and get right variety for your climate. You want grass to deep root - and you may need top soil.

I'd always suggest an in ground watering system. It doesn't cost much.
