Planting - Southern Flinders Ranges

I purchased an acreage in the Southern Flinders Ranges in 2006.
Since then I have planted +3,000 trees and shrubs.
This is a semi arid area. This experience is nothing like growing plants in a suburban backyard.
It was a steep learning curve for me to plant and grow successfully in this environment. My first couple of years plantings were failures but more recently my success rate has improved and at the same time my effort has decreased based on the lessons learnt.
Below are some before and after photos.

A different location in 2006.

Nice spot Beetaloo.
What are some of the species you have planted ?

Stewie
We only planted trees & bushes that are native to this area.
Initially we collected seed from our property but more recently we obtained trees from Trees For Life. (this introduces genetic diversity)
Gums did really well, mainly peppermint & Blue Gums but we also planter some native box.
Sheoaks did not fare so well as kangaroos eat them. Similarly for Bottlebrush, these were also heavily grazed.
Saltbush (grown from seed I collected on our property) did really well and line the edges of our drive.
Hop Bushes faired only soso.
Acacias did not do well planted as tube stock but did better when grown via direct seeding
Cool, once they are established and a few years old they should look really nice.
