Hi all,
We’re going through a development application in greater Brisbane and council is asking for a report related to tree lopping/removal.
Just trying to understand:
What type of report is usually required
Who typically prepares it (arborist vs planner?)
Rough cost and timeframe
Any gotchas to watch out for
If anyone’s been through this recently, would love to hear how it went.
Thanks
Tree lopping report needed for DA

We used Pro Tree Removal Brisbane to organise the arborist side of it and they pointed us in the right direction with what council was actually looking for. They organised a qualified arborist to do the actual report council wanted and walked us through what needed to be included. From memory it was a few hundred bucks for a pretty standard block and took about a week or so to get the report back. Biggest tip is make sure whoever you use knows Brisbane City Council’s wording because they can be picky with how the impacts and mitigation are described.

Trying to get the yard under control and need some tree lopping done. Hoping to find someone who doesn’t charge the earth and ideally includes dump fees so I’m not…
