Rain Water wont sucked into soil - Help ...

Hi there, we just movin couple month ago, and its been raining all week. this morning i went out and find out all the water from the rain wont goes in in to the soil for some reason, i provide you with the picture bellow.. any thought will be appreciated it.


Any idea what causing it guys ?

There is probably a layer of clay there. Water only seeps through clay very slowly so unless there is enough slope for it run off the clay, it will just sit there.
Just create something that gives the water somewhere to go.
Dig a trench and install a spoon drain or just leave it run out to the street with a bit of digging.
