composite decking

I am about to build a 45 m2 split level deck and am considering using a composite product such as modwood or timbertech to avoid the maintenance required with hardwood. Has anyone used either of these products in their own home and can they give me any feedback? thanks Carole
I install decks and would never use modwood. It scratches far to easily and does fade.
Personally I'd use timber tech xlm or trex transcend. They both have a hard layer over the base product so resist scratching far better and are more fade resistant.
They are very similar products, the trex seems to have a more deeply embossed grain pattern compared to the timber tech so it may come down to what product you prefer the look of and the varying colour range.
