Cleaning

Hi,
I had this retaining wall done 2 years ago.
Understand this could be water leeching through.
Can i paint over it ? Will it still turn out the same ?

it’s efflorescence and you can’t paint over it. I’m no expert but it’s salt left behind after water penetration.

Yep, efflorescence as mentioned above.

You could look to clean it with a "acid" based cleaner and then seal with a penetrating sealer.

This may not stop it entirely but inhibit it somewhat and not look as bad.

Probably try sealing a small area first before doing it all though.
