what Kitchen Mixer do you have?

Hi all,

I am getting really confused about so many kitchen mixers in the market and all seem good.

Could you tell me which ones are best to have. I am after a modern looking black and chorme mixer with retractable spout.

I like the DORF vixen retractable and also the Grohe essence single level sink mixer. Could you recommned any of the two or any others please.

TIA!
Could someone please help with this?
I use the TINK mixer is all my projects. Never had a problem

thanks a lot Manhattan.

though it does look really nice, i was hoping to have something with an extendable/retractable spout. any ideas?
This is the tap we are installing in our new house. I didn't want a full pull out as I've seen too many issues with them. This is a good compromise. I'm just installing the cabinets now so haven't used it yet.

I would recommend a stainless steel mixer. Brass mixers contain lead which can leach into your drinking water.

what are some problems with the retractable ones?
I really like this one also. Could you tell where you got it from and how much was it?

Thanks. I am not looking at a brass one really. Probably the spout could be black or a handle just to match the theme of the kitchen.
Brass refers to the inside structure of the tap not the outside. There has been a lot of recent press regarding the amount of lead allowed in Australian plumbing products.

Thanks a lot Amilelka. Really appreciate it. It is just not right.r
Will look for Taps whihc are not internally Brass.
I was about to answer with 'Kitchen Aid'.

I have the Franke pull out nozzle, stainless steel.
thanks a lot. Do you have a picture?

I tried looking for ones whihc do not have brass inside them because of the lead issue, but even at HN there were none whihc were brass free.
Maybe look at the Methven Glaston

The lead thing isn't an issue. Just about all plumbing fittings are made of brass internally including all the fit off in the walls.
Just buy a tap you like the look of and steer clear of Bunnings and buy from a plumbing outlet. Many Bunnings products (even known brands) are made specifically for them and to a price point.
thats what i figured - everything everywhere was brass internally. thanks for the tip on Bunnings.
