Hi there

Anyone here tried replacing worn out internal shelves for your Kitchen Cabinets?
They all come in odd sizes and needing to customize ...
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Are you just talking about the shelves, or the entire internal box and shelves?

Hi!
Just the shelves.. as some are warped, and also cracked ...
If they are adjustable shelves it's very easy. Just remove the shelves, measure them up and ask a small cabinet maker to cut and edge some new ones then re-install.
If they are fixed shelves then you will have a struggle as they will be nailed and screwed from the outside so no easy way to remove.
That's assuming the cabinets are the modern style with individual carcass boxes and not the old style where the cabinets included door mullions.
The sink cupboard may involve removing the sink plumbing to fit a new shelf.
What chippy said - a very easy job.
Thanks Peeps ... appreciate it! do let me know if anyone has any reasonable cabinet makers in VIC to recommend
And what about the wonder of White Knight laminate paint if you feel like giving the whole cabinet thing a totally fresh look? Just such an excellent product. It really works. Available at Bunnings.
Some Bunnings stores have vertical panel saws and will cut melamine to your dimensions
