Our Kitchen is finally (almost) finished!

After several months of washing up in the bathroom sink and getting very tired of take away, our new kitchen is finally finished - almost!

Here's what we started with:

Here's the plan:

And here's where we're up to:

We bought the kitchen flat pack from SRD Kitchens, and have been really happy with the ease at which it has all gone together. The adjustable feet have been an absolute godsend given how uneven our floors are, and the staff have been really helpful.

Our design measures 3296x2536mm and cost us $3130.00 - for that we got:
All cabinetry, fasteners, etc.
Laminated 10x10mm Rolled Edge Benchtop (Carbon Micro - Polytech)
Square Edge Melamine Doors with matching 2mm PVC Edge (Classic White Gloss - Polytech)
Brushed Aluminium Kickers
Basic D-style Handles

We picked up a stainless steel Westinghouse appliance package (Oven, Cook top, & Slide out range) for $1041 from Winning Appliances. And a double bowl sink with mixer for $240 from Auctions R Us

So by the end of the week, it should all be ready for us to cook up a storm!!!! WOOOHOOO!

P.s. if anyone's interested, here's the colours we have used:

Cabinetry (Classic White Gloss):

Benchtop (Carbon Micro):

Walls (Double Akaroa from the Resene paints range):

aw geez, why didn't you keep the padded green look vinyl look going in the new kitchen, that sorta thing never
goes out of fashion

Looking forward to seeing the final reveal!
ooh Kelly, it was very tempting -spew-
The suspended overhead cabinet in the original kitchen? My parents had one of those in their house. It was very fashionable when the place was built in 1961....

That's going to be some transformation! Love the benchtop colour.

hehe well, my house is obviously well ahead of it's time; built circa 1955 lol

That cabinet was so badly positioned. If you stood on the other side of the bench you used to hit your head on it
