Has anyone built a reverse brick veneer house in Adelaide and how does it compare in cost to standard veneer.
I can't answer your question re costs in Adelaide as I built as an owner builder in rural South Australia.
My house is solar passive with double brick in living areas which are north facing and insulated timber frames on other elevations and also for internal walls in the southern side of the house.

can’t tell from the photo, a tie down rod will be 12mm, is it a steel beam? he should be able to work it out

Brass fly wire, you will need to cut it, shape it and jam it into brick slots
