Sydney Geotechnical Engineers - Any recommendations?

Hi all,

I need to get a slope stability analysis done for a retaining wall I am planning in the backyard. Does anyone have recommendations and good experiences for a geo-technical engineering company who works in the Sydney domestic housing market? I live in NW Sydney area.

Also, any ideas on what I should expect to pay for this sort of work? What have your experiences been in the past? It is not a major project, the retaining wall will be about 16 metres long. I have had a structural engineer look at the site last week and his only concern was getting the geo-tech side of things confirmed before starting to design.

A structural engineer should know a geotech. Did you ask him?

He has actually done most of his work with larger companies who have already organised their geo-tech reports etc. He is actually searching for one that can help him on smaller domestic projects in the area like mine and may have a contact he can refer to me, but I want to get a couple of quotes regardless so at least another two recommendations would be good.
