Reinforced Concrete

Hi,

Just wondering the what N25 is on steel reinforcing, is this suitable for medium to heavy loads?

Check your engineering Notes
-Normal Concrete..N25 Strength Mpa: 20 Aggregate mm: 80 Slump mm eg N (25:20:80)
-Nominal Steel Reinforcement - N- Denotes Deformed bars D500N: N24-24mm diam. rebars
Note (1) N24 measured Nominal X-Section Area (452 mm2) equals 4-N12 Nominal X-section Area (4x 113mm2) approx
A common mistake I see on site where Steel fixers substitute missing N24- bars for 2 x N12 bars...WRONG THE X-SECTIONAL AREAS AREN'T THE SAME
