Tradesman's hourly rate and lunch?

Hiya,

For tradesman who are working on an hourly rate should I be expected to pay for their lunch hour?

Cheers
Nope nor their morning tea break either. If we were doing a job on an hourly rate we used to start before 7 , stop at 9.30 for a cuppa for half an hour and again at 12.30 for half an hour and finish at 4 - 4.30. We would charge them for 8 hrs. They shouldn't be charging you a full 8 hr day if they only have their nail bags on for 7 !

Agree - they might take lunch and coffee/ciggie breaks. You pay for work !

Also - if they don't bring the right (known/needed) equipment - you don't pay for time away getting it.
Thanks

Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes.
