Electrician rip off?

Hello all,

Just wanted your opinion on this.

We have given him a large job ( $2000 ) worth of installation.

Given that the job spanned over 3 - 4 days... I wanted a certificate at the end of each day.

He wants to charge me $15 each.

IS this reasonable? He said that's how much he is charged for issuing so he is giving it to me for cost price.

Cheers
Unless you are paying him each day and fear he might not return, why would you want a certificate for each day when one at the end of the job would suffice?

His time in writing a certificate is built into his hourly rate so perhaps its his way of saying he regards you as a PITA
Sorry to state specfically... it spanned a few days but they were weeks apart.

Just wanted to be on the safe side.
I guess if you had asked for the certificate to be issued each day straight up then him asking for more would be unreasonable as he should have allowed for this in his quote, but if you've asked him for this after he had quoted then it is fair enough. At least he is only trying to recover his cost.

Get some long brass machine screws and bolt right through the gate and put brass acorn nuts and washers on the other side. It will never come off
