Suggestion on how to pick up and deliver some furniture?

We don't have a car as we currently live very central. We want to purchase some things off eBay (like a lounge
) but have no idea how to pick it up.

My brother-in-law has a truck, but he lives 30km away. We would be happy to offer him $50 - $100 but I don't think he'd go for it
The husband can't rent a truck himself because he's under 25.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on how we could pick up these items? Are there sort of short-term or small item removal companies out there that do this type of thing? I have absolutely NO idea.

Thanks for your help
Could it be worth asking the seller if they will deliver at a cost?

If not, then I know you can hire trailers etc for the day which would be alot cheaper than paying someone to do the lifting/transporting for you, but it would also be alot more work for you
I know a couple of removal guys here/ in Nowra/ that do that.

Maybe you could ring around and find one close, see what they say?
Minimovers do item deliveries...don't know what their prices are like:

Or there is this guy:

And then there is:

Cheers,

Ring a few courier companies and get quotes - not always as much as you think
Next time you see a courier driver, pull over and offer cash for a quiet job. ost will take it as they dont have to pay the company for the work.
You could hire a van for a day too...

When I sell items on ebay (especially bigger stuff) it is not unusual to see a budget van pull up to collect the items.
Awesome guys - thanks for the suggestions!

No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online…
