Elevated House - can these horizontal beams be removed?

I have a raised house and want to create an area under the house that opens up out onto the yard.

There are vertical wooden slats fixed to horizontal beams. The horizontal beams are attached to the vertical stumps. As per the photo.

Can the horizontal beams be removed?


yes they don’t hold up the house
