We are about to undertake a 2 storey house renovation in sydney with an approx value of 700k. We have been quoted labour rates by a builder of $95 per/hr + 15% BM + 10% gst. Just wondering what people are paying on average?

We pay day rates which are now incredibly high post COVID.
Its hard to get a labourer for under $300 ( used to be $150), Chippies are $600-800, Painters $500-600 per day.
So depending which trades he is talking about it's probably not too far off

I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag.
