Fencing - Lap & Cap. Things to look out for?

Hi All,
Hoping for some feed back and experiences from people who have had to install timber/wooden fencing as their boundary fence with their adjacent neighbours.
We are looking a ones commonly called Lap and cap.

When obtaining quotes from trades, iam wondering what i should look out for or ask? only things that come to mind are how strong or wide are the posts. What type of timber and is it treated eg h4 .

But thats about all i can come up with.
Hoping for some guidance on this one by people who have done this previously
Thanks in advance
i'd ask them to put a decent sleeper down the bottom, so that the palings don't touch the ground and rot quickly
