Seems harsh as there are lots of topics regarding unlicensed plumbing and carpentry work all across the forum.

I am not interested in reporting what people post. If I could help someone who is doing the work incorrectly I would.

Is there somewhere I can post an Electrical Light Switch question without it being deleted?

Not if you are asking about DIY electrical work. The person to ask is a licensed electrician and if there was one on the forum, there is no way they would advise a DIYer.

You need to carefully construct any questions about electrical matters to avoid any ambiguity or confusion of intent that implies DIY.
