If they're standard A&L window lock maybe give them a call. Our vent locks had me stumped until I figured out you have to use the key to wind the locking pin up or down.

I agree with Ed. I'd most likely go with white, but remember that this will make a feature of the windows from the outside so hopefully your design can handle this.
