You do need the sheen of the paint to keep the walls clean from steam, nothing looks worse than steam runs down… Anyone used paint colour 'Earth Child'?No but it's the one I'm considering for internal walls. Remember these are quick fixes...if you want a really smick bathroom or kitchen you need to replace the tiles.

Unless you want to change it up a little and go for a lighter colour? Thoughts on window coverings.Definately consider the interior of your room first! Timber shouldn't be a problem, probably a lighter colour due to your other wood. It doesn't have to be matchy-matchy though.
