Is your pool concrete or fiber glass? I'd ring your local pool place and ask them before emptying it. My worry is that construction is going to be close to your pool which could lead to earth moving and your pool popping out since it doesn't have the pressure of the water to keep it in. We empty our...

When i say it has scratches on it already, I mean that I myself can see them when cleaning the floor. I know where they are i guess. If you were to stand and look at it it looks fine but if you get it in the right light you can see the fine marks. My floor has been down for 5 weeks, we have a 2 yo b...

We had to get the 3/4 around the edge because all our architraves and door frames are concreted in! We had to remove a small amount when we moved in because our fridge wouldn't fit into the cavity in the kitchen and we ended up ripping the bottom of the wall off.

I can tell you, we won't be getting it again! Don't get me wrong, it looks lovely but it's really slippery. The kids ar...

We brought our first house in Broken Hill for $20,000 lol.. We did nothing to it and sold it last year for $75,000. Needless to say, we had a nice deposit for this place. We are a single income family and pay around 30% wage onto the home loan which is now $210,000. We brought wisely and had been fo...

Hi, I've had 2 different companies in to give me quotes on timber laminate floor boards and carpet but they've both come back with different measurements. 1 was a lot cheaper then the other for basically the same product but the second company said they've done a lot of timber and he said he wouldn'...

Michelle, Thankyou for that! We've already painted 3/4 of the house in pale tendril and started on the skirtings at 1/4 strength. We LOVE the colour and i can't wait to see what it's going to be like with the floors done as well. (5 mins later) Hehe.. I just spoke to hubby, and we've agree'd to go w...

Hi, We're paining all of our living area's in dulux pale tendril. I'm wondering if you have used this colour before? If so, what colour did you do the architraves and skirting? We're looking at doing them 1/4 strength and the doors in a high gloss 1/2 strength. The floors are going to be a lighter c...

I like the look of Roman blinds but they don't seem to have much privacy. Would they look tacky with curtains over them? Also, How do they compare in price with timber Venetians?

Weeeeeeeeellllllll, The place we're living in now is called Dareton. My hubby is a detective here. Anyhoo, Dareton is on the NSW side of the border and our water supply comes from the Darling river at Wentworth NSW. Mildura gets it's water from the Murry which is down stream from where the Murry/Dar...
