The powers that be changed the drainage provisions when it transitioned the NCC Part 2 2019 to the 2022 edition. If you send me an email address, I will send you both the 2019 and 2022 versions of the NCC Part 2. As far as the pooling goes, take dated photos.

Below is a link to a post by a leading slab heave expert. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=1206402#p1206402 Also, if AS 2870 is referenced in the contract, make sure it is not only referenced to the slab which is construction. It must also be referenced as plumbing if you want to include...

Is the pump also connected to an outside tap? If so, you could fit a pressure gauge to monitor the pressure but for sure, it will be a pressure drop aka leak. Have you checked the water level in the cistern? It could be slowly filling. You would pay big time to get a plumber and they would only chec...

This may be apples and oranges due to location but a few months ago, a smaller house on the same block size opposite my house sold to a developer for a price that I would be happy to accept for mine. They have plans for 4 townhouses. Are there any similar developments or KDRs in your area? You shoul...

If you can calculate the reasonable head from let's say 100mm below the gutter to the top of where the vertical riser's horizontal discharge pipe will be, that would be good. Can you get hold of a laser level? Many tradies have them now as small ones are so cheap. Line of sight using a straight edge...

They are all 40mm deep underground. I think my builder did a cheap job. Plumbers 'can be' plumbers, made all the worse by self certification (some States may not have this) which the building surveyor invariably accepts as proof of compliance! The good thing is that you now know but you could lodge...

A drop every 3 seconds = 4.5 litres (not Apothecaries' measure) every 24 hours. The leak is not a big deal unless it becomes a nuisance. Your repair method was not professional, plenty of info on You Tube on easier, correct methods. The stormwater pipe should be a minimum 100mm below the surface, mo...

I dont understand the 'branch a tee from the verticle riser' part could you show an example? You can (sort of) see one in the photo that I posted earlier and commented on. If the riser had continued upwards to also discharged into a meshed inlet basket at the top of the tank, you would be seeing a ...

The obvious answer to the OPs question is to get quotes from three plumbers who can see the place for starters.

Have the downpipe locations been decided or are the current drawings showing nominal positions which unfortunately is the norm? The roof slope also has to be factored for wind driven rain. While this doesn't affect the total roof catchment yield, it does determine the volume of water draining to ind...

The best time to divert first flush is after a dry spell and your idea has merit provided you have the subsurface storage capacity to do what you want. If you have a downhill slope, you could divert the water in the sediment trap to a small (maybe 500 L) tank similar to the photo but obviously away ...

Are you off the water grid? If I know your 1:20 ARI or your region, the roof slope and see a diagram, I can run a few figures. You can't use all of the 'available head' below the gutter's sole because of the weir flow that will generate bubbles during heavy rain which lowers the atmospheric pressure...

Saving water is important for a number of reasons as is good utilisation of the harvested resource but most important is having a well designed system. Unfortunately, nearly all systems are poorly designed, poorly plumbed and poorly optioned. The end results are endemic substandard and unnecessarily...
