Hi all, Just wondering if anyone out there has any information on types of carpet and its affect on asthma... I once read that because wool absorbs moisture from the air, it provides an environment more suitable for dustmites and thus nylon carpet was better if there was an asthmatic in the house......

Our plans are already drawn... needed them for council at the start of building... Just need someone to level the yards, apply topsoil and lay...

Ok folks, sorry about the repetition, but how about I reword the question, that way nobody is actually "recommending" anyone, just stating facts... Does anyone know someone in Sydney that lays carpet according to the Australian standard? Cheers, A

I can't scratch myself without first checking I'm not breaking any laws, yet the Government can't (or is too scared) to put a leash on these clowns! Sorry, soapbox time again!

Thankyou all for your replies... Much appreciate it... Yep, I know it's their ball game and you can play elsewhere, if you don't like their rules, but what ever happened to the customer is always right? Seems like the building industry gets everything its way! Just have a look at all the posts on th...

I feel really sorry for all the Beechwood customers out there... If it wasn't already stressful enough...

Hi, Just wondering about wall insulation for a new brick veneer house... 1.5 rating pink batts to external walls already included as standard... Is there any advantage in also placing sarking to external walls between frame and bricks? Any thoughts... Thanx, A
