Hi, wanting to know if anyone can help me out with tapware quality. We can't really afford Dorf, Bastowe, Grohe etc but have found 2 ranges that we like, one from Faucet (more expensive) and one from Linea. I guess what I wanted to know is if the Linea or Faucet ranges are reasonable enough quality ...

Thanks Borg, confirmed what I thought. Just trying to keep the costs of 3 wall-faced close coupled toilets with soft-close lids to a minimum. Not a lot of price competition where we live so am trying to compare with other areas and look into freight. I think best to source locally for showers.

Can't say too much about the price because I am just looking into that myself but if you can afford a bigger system, go for it. How does your energy provider work? Will you be paid for the electricity you put into the grid, or does the meter wind backwards. Where we are in FNQ, we will get paid 44.4...

Hi to all on H1. We (well when I say we, it is me doing all the organising, contractors doing all the work and DH playing a support role) are OBing on the Tablelands (Tolga) in FNQ. Would love to hear from anyone building in the Far North to get some tips and advice on tradies and products. Cheers. :D

We are putting in a Westinghouse 600mm one and a half wall oven. The price we have is about $2000, and $2600 for the double. They come in white and stainless steel. You would likely get a better price than me as we live in a small country area so competition is limited. I have some rough prices for ...

We have a front loading Siemens 8kg with 1400rpm spin speed. It is exactly the same machine as the Bosch Logixx8 but had a longer warranty for the same price. Cost us $2200 which I know is the price of a small second hand car but it is my dream machine. We have 5 kids and 3 are currently bed-wetters...

Have an OB trade card with Bunnings. My problem is it is 80km away and they won't give me trade quotes over the phone or by email. They want to swipe the card in their machine. Making it difficult to compare quotes locally (small country town). No discount on insulation products. Not that I am compl...

Hi all, new to the forum today and wish that I had found this a looooong time ago. Didn't even know you could get estimations in this way. Not that there is likely to be any where we are. Also tried for 12 months to get quotes for the bank for an OB loan, Tradies were not very interested in quoting ...
