I also wouldn't match the gable to the garage. And I'd definatley put a glass balustrade on that balcony. The aluminium doesn't do anything for the street appeal Sry, Glue down vinyl is ick IMO. - I didnt get this ? is it equal to Hybrid or worst choise bcz glue vs floating ? Thanks much for all yo...

Depends on the quality of the product you choose. 600x600 is nice, but are they porcelain rectified tiles, or ceramic cushioned edge with low variance in the pattern? Would you be using cat 1 laminate (unlikely water proof) or hybrid floor? All have pros and cons. If you want durability and ease of...

Hi Team, ITs a long post. First time build, so I got more questions. Please share your suggestions or ideas from your experience. Thanks very much. 1) I have planned to keep 600mm tiles in the ground floor (living and kitchen) so that it would look bigger as build area is small. But we got an option...

What would be the better option - Is it better to install solar on Duplex units from builder (3kw $3500-$5500 per unit) or hire a solar company later to install this ? I know it can be little bit lesser, but heard many stories about installation on the roof and damaging it, etc. Please suggest the n...

you are only obligated to pay for half of a fence that is considered sufficient. I'm unsure what that would be in a rural setting, but in an estate it would be whatever the estate guidelines stipulate - eg a wood paling fence or a colourbond fence in a specific colour minimum 1.8m High. anything ov...

the 50 year isn't worth the paper its written on. There's usually so many caveats and conditions to meet to maintain the warranty for the whole period. If something happens 20 years down the track that does impact the structure, its going to be a fight to prove that the root cause isn't caused by y...

Given the factor of rising prices in Construction Industry , Is it a wise option to build homes as I have two vacant lands sitting since 2 years. Does the constuction cost would come down in the future (its a crystal ball, but based on the past) or no chance of going back for material prices and sup...

why not just ask your builder? As a way of comparison I was charged 8.8k for a double storey to increase to 2735 GR and 2585 FF. 20 sqs ground floor area and 16 sqs first floor. Thanks and it gives me a picture. I have a middleman working for my custom design, that's why I could not get a concrete ...

I have a double storey design with GF ceiling height 2.59 and FF ceiling height 2.44. How much it would cost to increase the FF ceiling height from 2.44 to 2.59 ? Approx .. Someone is saying that would require a redesign for this as I wonder why? Please show some light in this space. Thanks
