Frame has gone up in under a weeks time. Roof has arrived and roofing will go up after the weekend they say. Hmmm. Been a little while since positing. No we are not done. We just had the site cut done and fences put up. I must say the Henley Reserve sign does feel a little fancy :) We were delayed a few years because our land and build was undervalued by ANZ bank and needed to save $60k to make up the diff...

So after our quote went up about $25k after tender we decided we would get the floors done by soomeone else. Been a while since I've last checked the forum. Everything looks lovely. A few people in our estate have similar bricks and they've said they've gotten plenty of compliments. Nice choice! And yes we went around our estate stalking various builds and the respective owners looked at us funny at first ...

I can't see us making many charges right now we left pretty happy and everything was along the lines of the photos we took along as inspiration. We had Heidi and thought she was great. But yes we signed a piece of paper saying $150 for changes. She did say they would make minor changes for free caus...

Aww thanks we were told they don't like to make changes and would charge us $150 everytime we changed something especially if it was drastic. But it's nice to know other people are doing their heads in, not just us [emoji13]

Light was the problem for us. Jane said we wouldn't get light into the bedrooms with them and there just wasn't enough space. Put a house next door and the problem would probably be worse. Oh well! Everyone's houses are looking beautiful. So very keen to get started!
