$8500 would get you a 5kW (or more) solar system which would meet most of your energy needs with no ongoing cost. Provided you can find enough roof space. The same price to get gas to the house and then pay for usage and service charge doesn't make sense to me. Go solar is my vote.

Hi aquanow. Hard to say without a picture. 30mm thick there would not be any reo in the concrete. I assume its an outdoor pathway. It's more about the base prep and I doubt there is much for a thin concrete topping. Is it cracked? Also is the frame made to distribute the load evenly or are there 4 l...

I would always go dripper and sub surface irrigation. Much more efficient because you don't lose so much water to the wind and encourage the roots to go deep for healthy plants.

Mgilla is right with the timber or steel posts, flat bases (or stirrups) packed up with gal washers. Fill the gap underneath with non-shrink grout available from Bunnings and they will last a lifetime. Unless your concrete slab is at 45 degree angle this will be structurally sound.
