Congrats on moving, the house is looking great. Your paint colours are lovely, I considered flokati, but instead went for 'white pepper' everywhere, it is also being used on the walls of the 'old house' as we had plenty left over. I was so glad the painting was finished here...only to have to start ...

We got ours done by an independant person...we had 4 small ones (900mm), installed at 4 corners of our block, it was around $2250. They supplied/delivered everything needed. It was done in no time. I couldn't imagine doing it ourselves, as the ground was rock hard in places, and they needed a drill ...

Well our house was rendered way before the roof tiles went on, so well before the 'grey float' on the inside was even started. I think as soon as the brickwork was completed, it was rendered. A long way before lock-up or handover! I think you will find that every builder is different and they do thi...

I'm just curious... what are they doing with the downspouts in front of the door? We had to get soakwells installed after handover. All the downpipes now go into drains which run to one of 4 soakwells, lots of hard work digging to get everything laid in, DH was happy that he wasn't doing it! Anyway...

Not your neighbour, we are on the other side of Abernathy... off thomas/malarkey, we got the cow paddock behind us, which will also be developed, but I dont know what that estate will be called. Glades is going along well.... much quicker than 'Byford West' which hasnt had anything done, even though...

Yep just saw that in your other thread  .... I just assumed ( ) that it was the long side as you said "a big expanse of blank wall." If there is already a window in the master bedroom, I wouldn't think not having one in the WIR would make much of a difference. We only have a l...

Hi Jellylegs, I am just discussing this with my hubby now because we painted the kitchen bench tops in our first house, about 8 years ago. The bench top was the laminate, we also went to Bunnings and got some White Knight paint but the primer we used was not from White Knight. We cant remember the ...

I want the pop-up ones too...ours are a flip type one and dont actually come out. I dont like them at all, if they aren't straight up and down the water hits it and sprays everywhere and if you drop something in the basin while its open its straight down the hole.

Congrats on hand over kexkez. Your floors look wonderful. Good luck with the painting.... (are you doing it yourself?) we found it exhausting, it took 6 days in all and that was without the sealer (paid cash to our painter for that). So glad when we washed out the paint rollers for the last time. ::...

If you took out the shelving from opposite the WIR door you could put 3 small square windows lengthwise down the wall, and you could put a vertical window along where the shower is. It may mean that you wont have a full length mirror though and a little less shelving, but its another idea to think a...

I have 2 bits for my blanco stove that I had no idea what it was used for. I think one of them may be the 'griller-pully-out' thing that kek mentioned, (1 mystery solved) and the other is an X shaped thing. Any ideas on that one? This is what my presumed griller pully thing looks like SuH...is this ...

I dont like the garage idea either, but thats only my opinion, its just not something I would like. I'd much rather have a seperate laundry (I have plans for my laundry with bench, shelves and looking all pretty so that I will want to iron and fold clothes! But doing all that is a long way off...hav...

We are getting liquid limestone for our driveway. Cant wait until it is done. We didnt want pavers, because of the weeds, and we would have had to find someone to finish it, as the builder only does 'so much'. We will be waiting for a while to do the alfresco, as we dont have the funds to get both d...

Congratulations on moving in monkeyupatree! Must be very exciting. Have you posted any new photos? We are only sealing the walls at this stage.
