Building A New House

We got 4 quotes and they took a few months to come in but we pretty much knew 99% that we were building with Lander as we've had friends build with them and their houses still look great a few years down the track. I also prefer dealing with a builder that doesn't build on mass scale. Our slab got p...

Yes I like the majestic too with the balcony, it does finish it off nicely and plus a balcony gives you an extra retreat space.

Hi Michelle, We start on our house this week and I'm second guessing our external selections. I wanted/still want something like this: http://wbhomes.com.au/#/homes/displayhomes/cove but in my selection meeting the lady talked me into doing the gutters Jasper but now I'm not keen on making the gutte...

I think you’ll regret changing the fence colour to cream; it will be glary and stand out a lot more. The colour that it currently is, it sort of disappears especially after putting some planting in there. I think mondo grass would look good along the retaining wall, sorry but can’t help with plant s...

My mum has the microwave under the island. When we stay I don't find it a pain to bend down, well maybe a little warm up my daughters milk if I have to carry her in my arms, lol. It's also annoying because she can play with the settings when in use, she can change the wattage. I also don't like it b...

I would have loved to have had polished concrete as our flooring instead of tiles but it wasn’t in our budget. I too thought it would be a cheaper option but it certainly isn’t. Maybe the next house, lol

I guess it all depends on where you live and what your lifestyle is about. Here in Cairns it’s all out outdoor living/entertaining. Here was our list: Large outdoor entertaining area - total size is 70 sq m (this is two patios, main one and one off the kid’s rumpus room). Bi-fold doors from lounge o...

Anyone have one? My mum has a Gaggenau one (so out of our budget ::cry:: ) and she uses it on a daily basis. Whenever I stay I always use it too, it's fantastic. I just use normal fridge magnets on our stainless steel fridge. I don't have anything on the front, just the side that's out of view. I'm really loving glass magnets: http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_type=handmade&search_query=glass+magnets&order=date_desc&ship_to=
