Thanks duke. Fortunately, we dont have a neighbor on our left yet (where our garage wall is) plus the crossover for our neighbor's plot is on the other side (not close to my crossover). So I assume this wont be an issue unless Mr. Neighbor decides to pay extra to get the crossover location changed. ...

Wonder whether it would become an issue when selling the house?? @Eve Dweller, if you dont mind, could you post some pics of the fence around that area?? I went onsite today to do some measurements, 150mm seemed a bit when measured, but cannot imagine how it would be with a fence. Thanks

Hi all We are just about to finish our build and I have started looking at getting fencing done. Back then (when I was not thinking), I moved the house from being 'garage on boundary' to a bit on left so I could have more room at the area behind the garage. Now I am left with 150mm between garage an...

Looking great, katman. Coming along really nice. Your brick laying skills will probably come handy when you do your landscaping :-)

Been a while since I have posted any updates here. We had a few hurdles to what started as a smooth build. So, been busy chasing up all the issues. Plumber had personal issues. Didnt get plumbing done. --> Insulation and Plasterers waiting on plumber to finish his work. --> House got broken in. Some...

Hey mate - what sort of freebies did you get - I got nothing - I didn;t negotiate hard enough. However we did not have to pay for going over time. We negotiated extra time to start. That was free. Also, with the Provisionals - when do they charge us these? I got a credit back for one. Not sure abou...

Yup, there are always good and bad reviews. Hopefully everything works out well for you. Build process is tedious, but worth it, especially when its all done. You know exactly what's going in where in your house. Good Luck Raj

Hi Everyone, we are seriously considering building with Clarendon in the Sutherland Shire, we've paid the $1000 deposit for the tender, just wondering if anyone has any advice before we sign on the dotted line. Hi all I am looking at the fencing options and really like the look of the fence shown in the pic below. I am considering this for my front fence and around the house will be the usual colorbond fence with black posts (estate requirements). The front fence can be a max of 1.2m high. So I am thinking...

Its not late. Better to get one now than never. There are lot of independent inspectors mentioned on this forum. You can probably do a search for that. I used Alex from Urban Inspections. -> 0411709366. He is pretty good. charges $460. Good luck

I could be wrong - but I don't think there was any wrapping done for my house.... I know that the wrapping isn't there as I can see large sections from the inside of the house where I can see the wood, and then the brick. I presume it would be between these? BTW; I didn't get sarking either though ...
When you say 'large sections', do you mean just particular areas or throughout your house? The foil wrapping goes betwe...

rjg, that's the must for any house these days. It's the foil wrapping to go with insulation. Your engineering drawings would clearly say which areas will be wrapped and which will not be. Usually the external garage walls aren't wrapped. I would be surprised if yours haven't been wrapped

Thanks Stormy. Not sure whether I would have to get the trenching done considering Telstra isnt going to provide service to new estate. I will have to confirm this. your argument about the driveway makes sense. I guess I can delay that till after handover. but definitely looking at getting teh fence...
