Not sure about where you can get it dipped. However these guys may have a new one... pretty reasonably priced for most of the stuff in their store... at least a third cheaper than Provincial/Freedom the big shops. http://www.recollections.com.au/ Good luck with your search!

No - I don't think they have to match IMHO i prefer when things aren't an exact match as it looks fake... I like a mix of things! I think what you have in mind sounds good - you can always put something white on the table to pick up and mirror the white you have used elsewhere!

Check this document out - it explains what has to be done to your house at different levels of bushfire prone /ember zone rating. From this you should be able to determine what you require vs. the standard inclusions and what you upgrades you are paying for: http://www.buildingcommission.com.au/reso...

Hi There We have similar colours on our facade - we used Surfmist for our gutters/fascia and downpipes, our front doors, our porch feature projection and our garage door. We used Shale Grey for timber posts and also our windows are Anodic Grey which looks exactly like Shale Grey. I can post a photo ...

Hi Mqtutor - we built in the Wyndham area - same as Point Cook council and the assest protection is $0 with Wyndham - yep FREE - so no need to stress about extra charges. Yes we did it during our build - our HT and all bedrooms go back to the study where it's hooked up to the internet - we watch our movies in the HT room from our PC which is in our Study room. Better to get done during build IMO.

Yes - it was 149mm step down. We used 100mmx100mm treated pine for our posts and bearers - the decking slats were 22mm think - DH just used treated pine fence pailing to chock up the bearers on the porch - this made it the right height to make it flush - but also raised the post off the concrete so ...

The step up/down won't matter - we just decked our front porch and extended it out past the concrete base by another 5 metres. We just made everything (bearers etc) level at the height of the step - DH found it easier on the actual concrete then when he had to do posts into the ground! Hope this hel...

Hi buildingbee, I have asked a similar question before, and ended up going with concrete to the alfresco for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it meant that the Alfresco could be used from day 1 - if it were just dirt, it would be out of action until we had decking done. Secondly, many people told us t...

When we moved in I had the neighbours bricks strewn all over our boundary and the fencer said that he couldn't fence until it was moved. Also - a would be thief wouldn't look at your house from the street and say "I bet their manhole is in their garage - I'll choose this house!" I think if you take precautionary measures by having the deadbolt on the internal access door - you'll be pretty safe :)
