The porch width (which is the same as the entry) seems to be 1450mm, so if you have 1200mm door, then you need to add 100mm for the wooden frame (just a rough figure). You'll end up with 150mm left. I have no idea what to do with it  If you go 920mm then you'll end up with 430mm space left. ...

Kikin, are you getting quotes from CSC before your tender appointment or after ? We haven't had our tender appointment yet, and every time as we ask the CSC about variations, she says that we need to wait for the tender appointment, so frustrating :th: We got the quotes on the tender appointment. I asked PD to provide us with the 1200mm wide door as well as the sidelight if they could fit all on the house entry. Does it suit on your front door? What's the answer from PD? Well, any question I ask, PD seems to push the answer towards the tender appointment. So the answer is, no idea. I reckon...

Hi pro, I would like to change the switched and powerpoints to Clipsal Saturn. http://www.clipsal.com/saturn It is really nice. As PD charges me a lot, I may change it after handover....but does anyone know how much the electricians charge on installation normally? Thanks.

Hi pro, We got the electrical appointment with argus technologies and they introduced us an intercom system. It is Dorani 5.0" Colour Intercom System and costs $1304. Is it worth to install it by them? Thanks for any opinions.

Hi pro, I got confused about the connection to speakers on Sonos. For the ceiling speakers, is it wired or wireless? Which device will it be connected to if it is wired? If I put ZP90 (ie. the zoneplayer without amp) in kitchen while ZP120 (ie. the zoneplayer with amp) in master room, will there be ...

I am always a fan of the 8" speakers. They give a 'truer' sound reproduction and give a fuller sound. 2 way or 3 way in this form of speaker makes very little difference. For 80W 6" ceiling speaker, is $330 reasonable?

Kikin Here is my view on streamed audio. First off you need to have some device to rip and store the music files, or you can stream it off the internet. To be able to store the music for playback you'll need either a computer, or a NAS drive. Many modern HT processors also allow you to playback you...
Thanks for your point of view

It depends on which amplifier you are running, how many zones and how load you want it to be. I will have two zones. One in master room and another one in kitchen.

Both the Sonos and Squeezebox systems access music from a PC (or like device) - neither have their own HDDs built into them... Both are good. There are other ways to achieve the same results... Would you mind telling me to get the same results in other ways, with the similar budget? Thanks, Rod!!

I guess it depends on how many zones you’re looking at. If you’re only looking to stream audio to one zone then the Sonos, Squeezebox, and Duet, all do a great job, although the Squeezebox/duet requires a more expensive solution for storage or a PC running for music storage this is because you need...

I think second option is good one as to have a 920mm-wide door with a 198mm-wide sidelight will give a better and different look Yes Jennysmith, that's awesome but unluckily, our builder doesn't offer the sidelight with the width of less than 330mm.....that's really sad!!!~~
