Someone left a door open Friday so we managed to get in for a look, we were very happy with everything and there was blue stickers everywhere. I was pleased about this as it meant the manager was thorough. Mostly paintwork. The painters were back yesterday so hopefully they did a good job. Tilers a...

We had our PCI yesterday which went ok but not as smoothly as we'd hoped. The PD inspector and the Darbecca inspector had both been through the day before, apparently PD passed it but Darbecca had plenty of issues of varying degrees. We talked through the Darbecca report, some of the stuff was issu...
We got our update, unfortunately we're now looking at 4 weeks rather than 2 from PCI to handover, so it'll be the first...

Yes mine were all different from the PD plans. Out by 5-10mm. Overall each window dimention only changed 2-3mm in either dimention. see more at hoffmangoldwithporterdavis.wordpress.com Ok, mine are all out by about 3 cm or so but it sounds like that is pretty normal. I'm very glad we didn't just or...

Has anyone else found when measuring their windows for blinds that the distances are off by a few cm compared to the spec on the PD plans? All my 2400mm windows are actually about 2365 to 2370 from one end of the recess to the other, similarly most of the 1800mm are about 1770mm or so. Is this to b...

Our temp fence has been removed. We don’t even have a date for PCI yet. Is it normal to remove it so soon? They are hoping to do PCI next week some time. Ours came down a week or two before PCI as well.

There's about 20 spots where there's painting to be fixed and a small amount of grouting and ceiling that needs to be done. Our site supervisor is orga...

Thank you for your kind words. Yes. Been a few twists and turns, but got there in the end. Hopefully, the house comes together. Some garden inspo pics I like to have some of the elements in our garden, especially the concrete looking planter boxes. Who knows if we could do it ourselves. My partner ...

Just got a text message from AGL saying we have a gas bill to pay, who is meant to pay that? We haven’t had handover yet. I’ve emailed PD but they’ve ignored it. My husband usually deals with them but is too busy at work this week and it’s such a minor issue I want to sort it out myself. Thanks. We...

So part 2 -- Rocked up to the house this morning, to find that someone broke in yesterday, and ripped up and stole all the floorboards in the house. This is getting just ridiculous. Would have been a crew, and it would have taken them hours. Neighbours saw a truck in the driveway @ 7.30am. WTF. htt...
WTH? Hope you weren't planning on using the floorboards from the old house at least?
