My builder got back to me and said that I can't request to have the laminate cut from the same piece. Becster - It does look great! Is the horizontal pattern on yours continuous? It's hard to tell from the pics.

Thanks MissAlison for the info. It's great news! Sarahq - we have a quote from Argus too but not from Techlife. It's so annoying that we have to pay so much more to get the same stuff, isn't it??? Let us know how you go!

We were originally going to go with the Atlantique but opted for the Prominence in the end. The differences in inclusions between the two haven't really affected us. We had to upgrade the basin in our Powder room, whereas it would have been standard in the Atlantique. THat was the only thing we put ...

Hi MissAllison, Congrats on your purchase! Can you give me any more info about the green wedge? We are building in stage 8A opposite the wetlands and are unsure of the plans beyond the wetlands (though were assured by the sales guys that nothing would be built there). What have you discovered? And w...

Yeah - I was keen to see the smaller version of the Prominence but it isn't changed much, just cut off the dining area and alfresco. With the Thornleigh - I don't like the master suite downstairs. It depends on your family situation though I think. With young kids, I much prefer to have all the bedr...

Oh I'm definitely sold now! ICK - I'm building with Carlisle so something I'll have to ask about. If they didn't do it in th display I wonder what the chances are of getting it done for my place. SuH - Great photos! It looks funky all right! What colour are the ensuite tiles?

Thanks for your replies Joles - I saw your ktichen, it looks fab! I looked online at the photos of the Atrium online. I'm in the south eastern suburbs so not so close to the display. ICK - ohhh I want to see that photo! Try again!!! I think the substrate will be fine with the fudge. Becstar - that s...

Hi! Trying to decide on the vanity colours for the main bathroom. We have Antique White USA walls, will be using white glossy tiles for bath hob, vanity splashback and shower. Unsure about the floor - could be Luxe Anthracite (a matte grey), Luxe Mocha (matte) or IF we go lighter it would be a marbl...

btw this is the Prominence with the facade we will have... http://www.carlislehomes.com.au/trange/images/page_photos/prominence_facade.jpg But only the blue and white bits will be rendered, the rest will be brick work. Thanks for your opinions so far!

Hello! We have tried to balance the dark roof, dark portico render and dark fascia/guttering with the lighter garage door, front door and secondary render. I would love a red front door but there is brickwork around the front door which is red so this won't work as there would be no contrast. Brick:...

Hi, I've been flicking through my PD book of all the houses for colour inspiration, and on page 42 there is a picture of a kitchen (I think it is the sandhurst). I'm interested to know what colour splashback they have used. Does anyone know? I looked at the PD website but the house is a different on...

I found a pic in a magazine that I really like. I might try and emulate that. So now I am thinking: Overheads - white perspex all the way across (glossy and not the frosted stuff). Under cupboards - White laminex Island bench - White laminex all the way around. Back benchtop - Osprey caesarstone (is...

Yeah, we will get stone benchtops (not laminate anymore) but I don't think we will upgrade to get the waterfall sides. But maybe the dark brown is too much, I'm going off it...every day I change my mind. I like so many different things, it's hard to decide what is just right. Let's see what I'm thin...

Hi, I saw a pic in a mag that had a light benchtop under the champagne splashback to blend in with the cabinets and feature the splashback, and a darker coloured stone on the island bench to show off the bench. All the cabinetry was white. I am building with CH. Will they let us do that? Is there an...

Thanks so much for the feedback. S&P - love your colour choices! I've been to Spectra about 6 times now (how can I resist when I only live 10 mins away and am home with bubs during the day?). I can't get enough. But am I any closer to making a decision...um...no. My colour selection is 6 days aw...

Hi, I really love the idea of a deep red splashback. I'm thinking either henna red or sparkling shiraz. However, there is a lot of area to cover and I'm concerned that it may be way too much. What do you think? I have attached a picture of the kitchen we will be building. Overhead cabinets: white pe...

Hi Jojoeys, Yes, you can get a financial clause put into your contract. If you hire a solicitor they will ensure you are protected and the right things are in your contract before you sign. We have bought land in Stage 8A across from the Wetlands and are waiting for our finance to be unconditionally...
