LOL .. I think there's a general consensus with that purple house on the corner. I still wonder, how that got through the planning approval process- weren't all homes subject to some sort of approval by PEET, back then to ensure some sort of street appeal. . .etc etc. . I think the approval require...
I think the approval requirement was removed about a couple of years back. That's why you see so many units going up - ...

Taylors/Kings Road Intersection.. Its a massive roundabout, during peak times can take 35mins to get through the roundabout.. Money was put aside for traffic lights, it was spent on the councilors nephews under 12 soccer club instead. He got the sack. :z: The only real justice would be to disband t...

One of my pet peeves is the lack of uniformity of the nature strips in the estate. It varies from one house to the next, it goes from tidy green grass to road base to red scoria, black scoria, bare soil with a smothering of weeds, white pebbles, river pebbles, black mulch, although some have gone t...

hey there guys and gals. . mm. . .double stories. . .im trying to picture that corner - is that where some shops were planned ? It will be opposite Balmoral park, and the ugly purple house with the tall windows... now that I think about it - the corner is gonna get even uglier.

I see there is a sign requesting 3 double stories on the lot at the corner Capesthorne and Windsor Blvd. Very busy corner though, so if you have a typical 2-3 car houses it could get quite full there?

The idea floating around about a "get to know your neighbours day" or locals meet at the Primary School sounds FANTASTIC - might be just what we need to discuss the concerns we all have as residents. Any ideas on how we can get one up & running? I'd say a community notice on the PEET ...
I'd say a community notice on the PEET estate website www.brimbankgardens.com.au; and the YMCA website, since will prob...

at the end of the day i think a cheap alarm, roller shutters on all windows and a dog should see your place left alone. It's like the joke - Two naked bush walkers are in the forest enjoying nature, when suddenly they hear a bear roar. One walker takes the time to bend down and put his shoes back o...

Question with regards to alarms. For a burglar to disable an alarm, is it as easy as urning off the main switch?....or can you get alarms are that are not linked to the main power switch?. Not sure that i want to get to the point where i've got steel bars surrounding my house. No, most alarms will ...
No, most alarms will have a battery backup as well. They have to take that out too if they want to disable it.

Hey Joeygbh, Had a chat with Annette earlier and here a summary of what I found: Pre-sale foundation memberships: Is $45 entry fee (which is $45 off the normal joining fee) + $36 per fortnight for a single person (or $ 30.60 pp for family) She pointed out the memberships gives access to pool, class...
Hmm... I don't mind the joining fee, but I'm more interested in once off session fees for the pool only. I had hoped fo...

Parents had 90k on first loan, paid off in 7 years. Second was 70k and third was 135k both took about 10 years to pay off together although they never actually paid them off - left about $600 in the loans for like the next 5 years. The next two loans were 640k and 300k within 2 months of each other....

True true, the current stories you read aren't particularly great reading for the future. But .. and a very big one it is... I have no doubt , as Nbn rolls out proper, the competitive landscape will change. And we'll have no choice, once the copper has been disconnected. And like all the other thin...
And like all the other things that have gone up in price recently, we will be paying more for less. We all thought Test...
