We are having the Shaker Profile and you're right it's the standard finish which is Colourtech. Shaker Profile is only available in a "textured door profile". We aren't having silk finish. http://www.laminex.com.au/uploads/brochures/Laminex%20ColourTech%20Painted%20Doors%20brochure.pdf [/...

Just bought an acre in Plenty, Melbourne and really like the look of the new marriot 48. My main concern is having a 55m frontage the standard house will look super tiny! Anyone have any experience with widening a house design via extra side rooms, garages etc? Have a 35m wide envelope and quite a ...

hi everyone was just wondering what people's garages look like? Is is mostly plastered, however around the external access door there is exposed brick. Does anyone else have this? Yes, we have the same. It does look a little strange - I don't know why they do it like this. There is also exposed bri...

it entirely depends on if you know how to paint but you could buy 3 different colours of paint and all the gear for 5 feature walls for about $250max....but I wouldn't do if you don't know how to properly...luckily we do saved us about 1400 by the sound of it! had meeting onsite with SS - and our b...

How late is too late to change taps (and possibly the basin)? We are at lock up stage. Our BC will flat out say no I reckon, but PD are now offering taps that are more my style and if they had these taps when we did our colours I would have chosen them without a doubt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapa...

El_Ko - what's the brick work like where it's not going to be rendered? It doesn't look good, but I reckon the render will fill in those bits and hopefully it'll be fine. Let us know what your SS says! The pics I showed of the brick work done on the other house aren't going to be rendered.

Very exciting! We are really happy with the brick colour. For quite a while we were going to go with Jarrah, but then decided on Rouge not long before our colour selection appointment - I'm loving the colour soooo much! It goes so well with our window colour which is white birch. Roof is Woodland Gr...

We met our SS this morning and he seems like a top bloke. No-nonsense kind of guy and seems to be quite particular on the tradies he uses. We are really happy with the brickwork. It looks great. Today they are finishing up the window sills (depending on the weather of course!) Plaster will be delive...

Hi Inglewood! It almost looks like you got off white mortar (without paying for it)! Winning! LOL! hmmmm - I wonder   This is the colour of the sand they're using. Really impressed with the job they are doing, it's really tidy and uniform - which is what you'd expect anyway, but we're v...

Hi all.... You guys have prompted me to look closer at my contract. It states as follows: 13.1.2 Mortar colour consistency - Some minor variations in colour may occur due to the variable nature of sands used in the making of the mortar. However, this is not considered to be a defect. So my question...
Oh no! That's so dark! Our brick work has only gone up this week. We chose standard colour too - and it looks so differ...
