We had the same issue maybe not quite as steep we have a spoon drain dug at the bottom of the cut, then drainage pits installed to catch the run off. Never underestimate the amount of water that can acumalte in a short amount of time. With drainage, imo prepare for the worst. :)

Honestly I dont really like the layout of either bathrooms. I've dont a remodel. I would put cavity sliders the ensuite and wir. I would also consider a cavity slider to the toilet in the ensuite but that's personal preference. Hope my pic makes sense. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190504/9a17d...

There is also another brand called panther that does the same screens as crimsafe. If you can afford them I would get them done now. One less thing to do later.

We put trio cornice throughout the house. And two yrs on I still love it it looks really good on external walls/corners in particular. It all comes down to personal preference. I prefer the same cornice in all rooms. And feel like trip cornice is more modern then splayed cornice. Definitely money we...

We have removed the screen as we dont open it often but weirdly enough whe we get flies inside they gather here so we can open it up and shu them out. I totally understand trying to save $$. How thick is your stone? You could consider removing waterfall ends. I love them though https://uploads.tapat...

Oh one last thing. We put in a 600hx1200w awning window in the kitchen at the sink and find its slot more ascetically pleasing then a sliding window. :)

Imo I like the original kitchen layout. I love big kitchens. Especially with a clear island bench. The extra bit of bench beside the fridge would be a great dumping ground for keys, bags and crap. You could eliminate or half the bench in the pantry. I have a couple of concerns on three other aspects...

I'm probably not going to be much help. But I would bring the oven close to the fridge. Keep the dishwasher next to the sink. Move the bin to the end of the island bench.

The plasterer could have built the edging out a bit too much. It probably wont be noticable once painted. No big deal. :)

I have the $400 bin drawer. It stupid expensive but I'm glad we got it as a bin detracts from a flashy new kitchen. I took advise and put it at the entry point of the kitchen to make it easy access when you have a hand full of rubbish. Ours is a soft close drawer style. :)

Same tiles and cabinets in both of my bathrooms. I'm not a fan of different bathrooms.

We went from. A h1 to a p. It was an extra 4500. Because we needed to increase the number of piers.
