Once the archs, skirting and doors go in, it will make such a difference! Garage door looks great. I'm surprised they've installed it so early. Normally it's one of the last things to be done.

Sounds like BS to me. The doors would need an undercoat/primer: that is what the paint would stick to. The colour would not have anything to do with it.
