Tomorrow kitchen island gets moved so will be on site at 7am to work out our exact gap between that and back bench. Our dining area runs parallel to the island so we just need to make sure that we don’t push the island out too far at the expense of squishing the dining area lol. [emoji848] Also meet...

Oh Ezza, so frustrating. I feel your pain! We are 13 months into our build and there were a few times throughout where things just sat for weeks with nothing happening. That said, our builder prefers to wait for the good trades and we can’t complain about that as the work has been quality right thro...

It's surprising what differs between the display homes and plans. We decreased the size of the opening between the family and rumpus rooms at our place from 450mm to 900mm ... 450mm is just a challenge for kids to accept when chasing each other, and means you can't put a couch up against that wall....
Blame the interior decorators lol! I’ve heard they come in mid build and even go so far as changing/adding new windows ...

Wow SN, it’s all looking amazing! Love, love the splash back and agree maybe grey grout might be a nice compromise! Just really depends on the looks you’re going for. Compare what you have now with pics with white grout and see which you prefer.

I just checked our gap and it is 1.2m Thanks WGB. We could have got away with an extra 20cm leaving the taps where they were for but decided to increase to an extra 50cm in the end as we’ve got plenty of space. Total gap now will be around 1.5m. Just wanted to make sure we can fully open the back d...

Oh and I forgot to mention we had another break in. Front door was kicked in and needs to be replaced. Luckily none of the tiles had been delivered yet so all they made off with is the shower waste [emoji23] But makes me worry once basins and taps start going in whether they'll come back...

Hi all, finally have something good to report! Cabinets finally went in on Thursday and tiling started on Friday. Pretty happy overall with just a couple of issues. Main issue is kitchen island is too close to the back bench for my liking; just feels too cramped and not enough space to move around t...

What a pain! You can’t return them from where you bought them and pick something else?

Thank you Dani, I find it hard to trust my sense of style. From the displays I learn that I actually like busy bathrooms better than the ‘generic’ everyday. So now I’m thinking of going with a Carrara on the floor a matte white subway on the wall and the herringbone. It’s no less busy but it’s not ...

Thanks everyone. Just wish things would start moving again. We have gotten screwed with the cabinetry big time. We were told in mid March it would done by the 11/4 at the latest and yet still no sign of it. Apparently the delay is with Laminex, not the cabinet maker. It's been around 9 weeks since i...

Gosh tiles are just the hardest to get right IMO. There are so many options out there and as much as I love trawling Pinterest myself and looking at display homes, it can be overwhelming!! I hope by visiting more displays tomorrow you get some clarity. You have great taste so I'm sure it will be lov...
