My Basix report says I need additional insulation of R1.30 (or R1.70 including construction) for my external framed wall that is clad with cement composite, Scyon. It will have villaboard or plasterboard in the internal face. How an I work out what R value the construction has? I'm thinking it might...

I don't know anyone who is unhappy with their Bosch, no matter what it is. I have a Bosch dishwasher and it's fantastic. I have a Bosch dishwasher, cooktop and oven. The dishwasher is noisy - my next dishwasher that I've ordered is a miele. The oven is good but finding a replacement oven light was ...

We looked at that too. At 900 was wider than we needed for most things so we'd be heating wasted space. It would also take longer to heat. We went with 2x 600 ovens. 1 higher speced than the other so we'll use 1 as a main oven and the other for the less messy stuff.

[ quote="Lex"]1sthome, I also heard it's more like 600  with AGL - to re-connect after a rebuild. Did you receive an actual written quote from them (apparently, they have that annoying quoting system which takes a long time) and have they actually included all the costs? Did your bu...

In Sydney & it's about 15m to the house from the street for us. AGL will install to a gas meter for $125 incl. the meter. The plumber does the rest.

We're doing a similar thing. Turning the house around so the living space is out the back and the beds in the front. We think it makes sense if we live in it long enough to justify the costs of replumbing the bathroom n kitchen. What did you use to make the plans?

In our unit we have 1000mm in our galley kitchen. It's ok for 1 person but very squashy with 2 people. For our new kitchen we're looking at 1300-1500mm.
