thanks Greg, i may talk to you later. No problems, drop me a PM. Happy to discuss and help where I can. Let me know how far down the path you are and if you are looking for another builder. May be able to point you in the right direction if you are a Sydneysider Cheers Greg

Hi there, So sorry to hear of your problem and thanks for letting everyone know of your experience. I guess that we all face our trials in this building process (we have been going since September last year and still don't have Council permission). There were just too many alarm bells we saw with HH...

Hi there Guys, If you don't have access through your roof cavity, you will also find it too hard to drill through every joist and noggin in your walls. Your only real option (as far as I can tell) is to try to tidy up the wiring as much as possible by hiding it in some adhesive ducting. This is a tw...

Hi Peter, I bought the Mitsubishi HC6800 and am thrilled with it. This model also has a feature allowing you to use a 2.35:1 cinemascope screen without a lens, which is gaining in popularity.Feel free to PM me if you would like details. Thanks Greg PS, I have used both DLP and LCD. They are so close...

Hi there, as someone who has owned Bose in the past, moving to a higher quality seperates package was like chalk and cheese. I am a real fan of Emotiva audio, based in Tennesee in the USA. They do factory direct pricing. Like most equipment, it is China made but I could not be happier and the prices...

Hi there Firefox, The track runs at $1.95 per foot,so you would need to go around the ceiling perimetre top and bottom and then need 1-2 tracks running around the room to allow for the joining of the material. It quickly adds up but if you order complete boxes, you should get out for about $1000 in ...

Hi there, 4K is a pretty good budget, but you don't need to spend that to get great sound. And that budget brings you into the realm of components. In terms of receivers, you would not go wrong with Harmon Kardon, Onkyo, Marantz, Denon or even some of the new Pioneer series is nice. I think that Rod...

The new room size sounds great. Not sure if I would be too keen on carpet on the walls, but that would be mainly on aesthetic grounds. Might be a bit much. We are just about to start building and will have a dedicated HT room. I will be using acoustically transparent material from a company in Melbo...

Hi Bel, There have been a few issues. We seem to have a really nice guy at Council looking after our application, but just the usual. Cut of the block was 20cm more than allowed (over a fall of 7-8 metres!), the Alfresco was too deep by 40cm and we need to remove 6m squared off the house to comply. ...

Hi Guys, Well it looks like we are not the only people with issues. Before we considered H Homes we were told that they build a nice home but they are expensive. They also take forever, but we figured that all good things take time. We invested $1100 and had a site survey done by this company. Wish ...

Hi Bel, So sorry to hear that you are having all of these problems. We already have a storm water detention system. Hi everyone. After more plan reincarnations than Lazarus, and with moving top and bottom storeys due to ground levels, we have been advised that we would save a considerable amount of money if we used a lightweight cladding for the front of the upper storey. The builder has recommended a Hardie prod...
