I really like the idea of a polised concrete benchtop, i'm going to suss that out. I would have loved to have polished concrete floor but the price scared me away, didn't realise how expensive it was going to be. This site has some nice pics of polished concrete benchtops http://www.honedandpolished...

The guy at the Good Guys yesterday told me that the Lofra free standing ovens are made by them but all the other large appliance like the smaller ovens, cooktops, rangehoods are made in a different factory. If I look at getting a double wall oven with westinghouse and the other appliance from them, ...

Well i just got the kitchen dimensions, back bench is 4015, so there should be enough room for one without losing too much bench space. I'm meeting with the kitchen guy tomorrow so lets see what we can do

Yeah I hate bending too, I've always had a bad back since breaking my coxex bone, maybe I can use that excuse to pursuade dh  I'd have to get 2 baby gates as our kitchen is a gallery style So is it really bad to position it next to a fridge? because I've just been flicking through a heap of kit...

Yeah losing bench space is the only bugger about wall mounted ovens. I really love to cook and I get frustrated with our current 60cm oven as I can't fit everything in. I should have enough room on my back bench for a wall oven, I know I changed the length of it but I'm sure it's 3700 with the islan...

We're having an underbench microwave too but after spending christmas holidays at my parents house where they have an underbench microwave, I'm thinking twice about it. My 18 month old was constantly fiddling with the settings and turning the wattage right down and I was wondering why her milk was s...

I love the look of the 90cm underbench ovens, nice and big but I also like the look of the double wall mounted ovens by Westinghouse. I have an 18 month old daughter who is into everything and worry about having an underbench oven and her trying to touch it, I doubt she could open it, well not for m...

Mmm, I don't know what to do. I went to the good guys yesterday and the sales guy said yes it's just a re-badged product and that he wouldn't put it in a new house. A good friend of mine worked for Reece and even he said he wouldn't use it but a g/f of mine has it in her house and it's been fine, no...

I'm meeting up with my cabinet maker this week and I thought I had decided on what I wanted till I came across a website that had used timber veneer and I really loved the look. I have a gallery style kitchen. I'm unsure of which timber veneer I like but am leaning towards the Red Cedar or something...

ok so no one has heard of them, lol, that doesn't sound good. I think I will go investigate Westinghouse and Bosch, been reading past posts here and these two brands seem to be popular and should be within our budget. I loved using the Gaggenau appliances at my parents house, esp the steam oven but ...

Does anyone have any opinions on these appliances? our builder uses them and am wondering do we change to another brand or stick with it. Reece sells them. We will be getting the 90cm cooktop, 90cm Multifunction oven, 90cm retractable rangehood (re-circulating) and the inbuilt dishwasher. I've never...

There's a house like that about 3 hours drive away from me, it's very weird looking and they had lots of problems with leaks. I think it was more of a ******* builder problem. They actually couldn't use the upper level, it didn't pass certain requirements from council and they had to spend a heap mo...

Here's my land. It's smack bang in the middle but a bit on an angle http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u224/stiltkins75/DSC02044Medium.jpg Here is the design, it's very simple but we feel it will suit our needs for the long term. Our back patio will be facing north and we intend to build a pool http...

What do you save your pics as on your computer? because when I try to do an attachment it's telling me that an extension of PDF or JPEG is not allowed. I've not had this problem before with other forums
