Great to see you've started a blog and a forum thread! :: Love your selections and your WIR is to die for! Can't wait to see your build progress. Looks like we'll be on a similar time line. Good luck with your tile appointment. Do you know who your consultant will be?

Hi Michelle, We are very interested in the Gaia Ocean Road carpet in the Angelsea colour. Could you please advise whether it looks grey when laid. Could you please advise whether there is a tinge of green or yellow in it. I am after a warm grey. An alternative is Hycraft Strand in the Shakespeare co...

For those that are still interested, the Chestnut stain is used in the Metricon Mulgoa displays and is more like a walnut brown in colour. It appears darker, like the swatches, internally. You can't go wrong with Rich walnut, it's very classic.

We are looking at parquetry timber floors for our new home. Have you used JU Flooring and have any feedback? They seemed helpful and competitive in price. I'm in the St George area - any alternative recommendations will also be appreciated!

We are seriously considering Caesarstone Calacutta Nuvo for our kitchen island and are thinking of using Dulux Natural White for the polyurethane cupboard doors in the satin finish. The walls will be in Natural White too. What do you think of this combination? Have you used Calacatta Nuvo in your ki...

I suggest you also try formica for vincenza walnut, mocha firwood, fini chocolate, habitat, metro wood, these are all in mid brown range (to my eye). The others are tending towards smoky colours or quite reddish/yellowish. Thanks Treeseachanger. I will definitely check out the colours you've sugges...

[It's whether the combination will match the floor tiles I've chosen that concerns me. What a dilemma! I would go back to Di Lorenzo and see whether the Laminex colours match the floor tiles. They are both nice!

Don't get a laminate with a texture as they are much harder to keep clean. Thanks bashworth. I was told they are easy to maintain. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks deluxes and Michelle! What are your thoughts on dark timber look laminates like Laminex Burnished Wood, Espresso Ligna, Licorice Linea and Smoky Sapelle in the Nuance and Riven finishes? My builder also advised that they refuse to paint houses in Dulux Lexicon (any strength) because of the blue tinge they throw. 90% of people who ask for it are disappointed when it goes up. Look at Dulux Natural White or Dulux Antique White USA - they are the most popular whites. So id probably sug...
