Oh I didn't even think of doing that. We just got the builder to take them during a site clean. I still can't believe how much quicker the same company is in another state. We'd already be in if your mob was doing our house :)

Thanks :) Ours goes to the dept. on the 12th, so we're hoping come the end of Sept we'll be in! There aren't too many fixes we're aware if as our SS has already been going through and fixing some things up, like bent cornice he had no idea was bent lol. All we are waiting on now is the painter to do...

Just wondering how long it took people to move in once the house was given to their handover department?

Yeah they're all done. Our tiling is almost finished now as well. Should be done by tomorrow or friday :) Great, it sounds like things are ticking along nicely after your little painting hold up :) Yeah they're going very well :) We were able to sneak in today and have a peep. They've grouted every...

Hi Guys, Hope someone can shed some light about the timeframes for Building permits. Here is the story...I bought land in melbourne west which is already titled. I have signed the contract with PD on 20th June. The CSR called me a week later and said they have to apply for building permit because I...

Yeah I haven't had any incorrect things go into my house. Only mistake I've had was the manhole was installed in the wrong room, because the plasterer had an outdated plan (Was a post start variation). I've noticed that seems to be a big area where mistakes happen. Tradesmen not having the most up t...

So so jealous of the speed of your build! I love the photo from down the road. House looks awesome. I also quite like your eaves. Never seen them done like that before

Hmmm it seems to be the process with all builders. We were bullied into using H3nl3ys broker in our last house (We were 3 days away from signing a contract with H3nl3y and pulled out over a huge range of issues) and really don't want to go through it again. We have our own broker. We have our pre a...

What's the actual mistake? Is it on the plans when it shouldn't be, on the plans but wasn't paid for in contract, or it's on the plans but hasn't been put onto the house? If it's the first, I'm not sure. You'd either have to come to an agreement on it or just change it to standard. If it's the secon...

We lost about a week with the scaffolding as well It was ready to come down but the renderer wasn't finished - mainly because we hadn't selected a colour for it, not knowing we had any lol. What do you think of the cladding/weatherboard parts? Not so much the colour, just them in general. To be hone...

We're moving into our house soon (yay) and we'll be doing a paved path from the footpath up to (and inside) the portico. I'm looking into the possibility of doing this myself, but I'm not sure what kind of things I need to know before I go about it. Any help would be appreciated :)

He explained it saying something along the lines of 'As a volume builder, there are some things we wou...

You guys are really lucky in that you seem to have a very smooth transition from when stage of the build to the next. I think our tilers were on site as soon as the frame was done, but we had a 2 week delay before the bricks started (Admittedly rain didn't help that) and then a 3 week delay before p...

We're building with Henley (not breakthrough though). We've been very happy with the build process so far (At painting stage now). We've been pretty lucky in that it's been a smooth build and we haven't had very many defects or issues so far. Just pray you get a good site supervisor though - that wi...
