Yea big builders not really with the keys but small builders will do it. I felt my SS would specifically lock the place up like Fort Knox if he knew I was coming. If you really need access the internal garage door has hinges on the garage side (as that door opens into garage) so if your handy you ca...

We had a few things change in price between estimates and tender. Whilst it was nothing major there was no satisfactory explanation for any of it so it was very frustrating. For us it was our sliding doors changing prices. And honestly, Bank's explanation above is better than anything JGK ever gave ...

Our bank insisted on method A after Kings pushed method B initially. Their reason here was interesting. Our bank says to protect yourself against the builder going bankrupt mid-build, choose the payment method that has the bigger payments later on, not early on. If the builders goes under mid build ...

I think it takes a lot for the builder to stop. The reason for the delay is probably due to the valuer not attending site or not providing his report. I'd tell Kings about what's going on though with the bank being slow. Might be worth telling your admin person too.

Can you just change to open shelves? Or did you want doors. We have the open shelves and think they are great.

From memory our baths didn't go in until the fix off stage at the end, though from memory they were covered in the contract in the fit out stage with troughs. Ours were hob style so it may be different with free standing. I just would have thought it was tiled under a free standing though. Not to wo...

Great news. Can I ask about the bath though? Did it arrive a bit early or is your tiling starting soon?

In our 6 month build we got called by the SS maybe 4 times. It was only when the SS wanted something that he called us. Most calls and SMS went unanswered. No email was ever answered. There were no updates on progress nor warnings on invoices. Invoices just arrived via email from head office. We fou...

We got our keys last Monday at the final inspection and took possession of the house that day. Our removalists came the next day on Tuesday and we have spent most of the time since unpacking and cleaning. It has been a big week to say the least. Overall the experience has been good and the quality i...

In my experience, trades such as brickies and concreters only do a single job each day, so even if it's a relatively small job like a mailbox you still have to pay for a full days labour plus the materials.

The water on the ground looks to be near the rear roller door, but the water on the cieling is more around the PowerPoint for the garage opener which is in the centre (have I got that right?) could you have 2 sources of water as the water on the ground looks like it radiated from (or to) the roller ...
