Sydney is probably the cheapest city in Australia to get floors sanded and finished. Somewhere around $20 per sqm - maybe around $1400. Contact the guys at Alex Lind, they should be able to point you in the right direction Hi Namtrack, I see you are in the floor sanding profession, can you tell me ...

The current owners have told us there are floorboards under the carpet that can be sanded and sealed. 2 bedrooms have already been done. We need to do an average 3 bed house which includes...

Ended up pulling out after talking to aeveral builders because of the high site costs on the block. Managed to get out deposit back from allworth just before they sent the guy out to do the quote. Didn't want to take the risk of blowing our budget so found an established house last weekend and bough...

We have a P class slab and had 80lm allowance, we had quitebablot of fill as our land used to be a musket garden, so lots of lovely soil. We ended up with 60lm extra piering, we have a 600mm step through the middle of the house, instead of DEB, it still ended up having piers averaging over 2m. This...

We have had 3 quotes back so far, Masterton and Coral Homes quoted using DEBeams but Provincial quoted using cut and fill only. The costs for the drop edge beams were similar at $8k from both MH and Coral.

My block is pretty flat and not much fill on the block, they need to cut 250mm from the back of the block for the front of the house. My block ended up being an M class slab so got myself some funds back. I would recommend trying to push them for a 150 day tender period you give yourself some insur...

Well just back after paying our $500 for our tender. Took ages to go through all my changes and wants but hopefully we have remembered everything. Looking forward to getting the tender back. I'm a tad worried about the site costs since we have 2-2/12 meters of fill over most of the block and also a ...

I just moved into our Allworth Harmony, we had a really good experience with Allworth- our house was finished a month before the scheduled contract time. The only extras we had during building were for piering and fill for the site, things that were marked provisional. We got some credits back as w...

Hi all, We have deposited on a block in Mulgoa Rise (Part of Glenmore Park) and are looking at the Allworth Harmony Entertainer which is new design. A variation of the standard Harmony home. Questions we have before paying our $500 to get a quote which the office lady doesn't know are: As the home i...

Annette, good luck, you need to be happy with what you are doing. 50K in site costs is over the top. But then Eden Brae wanted to charge us over 20K additional site costs when with wisdom we have only a 20cm cut/fill and no additional site costs.... its a shame we won't get to see you about but I w...
