Quite standard mate.. ours is the same and was stipulated in our contract that it would not be done. It’s the only area that isn’t done and tbh I don’t really see much need for it.

Feel your pain mate. We are going through the exact same thing at the moment with very noticable joins across 70% of the walls, does my head in. Builders literally singed on the dotted line to repair in the 3 month defect report and are now saying they won't fix it if the plasterer says it's doesn'...

Building A New House

Why would you want to know off their commission? That’s their livelihood.. Obviously the builder will still pay them a commission. It will just be less. For example if I know they get paid 2%, and my build price is 300k. I can negotiate 6k off, and then the builder will just pay them 2% for 294k. I...

What paint was used? I would only use satin on walls as it won't show as many defects as higher gloss paints. Stewie They used gloss.. they keep mentioning satin colours which would “hide” these, however we were never given the option previously nor was it ever recommended prior to these issues. I ...

We did our own carpet and underlay (mainly because I used to work at carpetcall so worked out a good deal) and got really plush carpet and upgraded underlay.. I honestly recommend it, you can really notice the difference and carpeted areas are usually used quite a lot. But that is just my opinion. ...

Looks like it just has covers over each end? The valve looks off at the moment so you should be able to undo and add a piece to connect the fridge to the tap and then turn it on.

Yes if you’ve already signed the contract you can make these changes at your colour selection appointment, otherwise you can ask your sales representative if you’re still in tender stage.

That’s a big yard.. as you said blocks are getting smaller and smaller. It does depend where you’re building though.
