Quite standard mate.. ours is the same and was stipulated in our contract that it would not be done. It’s the only area that isn’t done and tbh I don’t really see much need for it.

Feel your pain mate. We are going through the exact same thing at the moment with very noticable joins across 70% of the walls, does my head in. Builders literally singed on the dotted line to repair in the 3 month defect report and are now saying they won't fix it if the plasterer says it's doesn'...
Update fyi: the plaster rep came down last week and said it was an installation defect and is not within tolerance as p...

Why would you want to know off their commission? That’s their livelihood.. Obviously the builder will still pay them a commission. It will just be less. For example if I know they get paid 2%, and my build price is 300k. I can negotiate 6k off, and then the builder will just pay them 2% for 294k. I...

What paint was used? I would only use satin on walls as it won't show as many defects as higher gloss paints. Stewie They used gloss.. they keep mentioning satin colours which would “hide” these, however we were never given the option previously nor was it ever recommended prior to these issues. I ...

We did our own carpet and underlay (mainly because I used to work at carpetcall so worked out a good deal) and got really plush carpet and upgraded underlay.. I honestly recommend it, you can really notice the difference and carpeted areas are usually used quite a lot. But that is just my opinion. ...
Thanks but which to put more money on? Carpet or underlay? A mix of both IMO mate. Upgraded underlay has extra benefits...

Marks on walls, missing silicone in places and behind sinks, underneath cabinetry walls not painted, missing grout (if you have tile), unpainted shelves (mostly the bottoms), check all taps and fixtures work correctly, all power points and fixtures are straight, check ceiling insulation, etc. Basica...

Looks like it just has covers over each end? The valve looks off at the moment so you should be able to undo and add a piece to connect the fridge to the tap and then turn it on.

Yes if you’ve already signed the contract you can make these changes at your colour selection appointment, otherwise you can ask your sales representative if you’re still in tender stage.

That’s a big yard.. as you said blocks are getting smaller and smaller. It does depend where you’re building though.

Have you asked them to add it in for you? I can guarantee you won’t be the only one asking them :)

Hi mate, I can’t comment on your exact question, but I wouldn’t really be looking at buying anything without a subject to finance clause unless you have the funds already available.

Did you not get to have a meeting with the electrician on-site to confirm the placement of switches, lights, etc.? We did (we did not build with coral however). I would keep at it with your supervisor as you should have been informed about this.. especially considering where it is not placed vs wher...

Thanks for your replies. I have contacted the builder and they have said they have passed this onto their landscaper to advise if this will be an issue. Thanks Dan. I have already checked this as we were informed about the termite line and the role it plays :) luckily they have not covered it :)

Hi, Our neighbouring building has just completed their landscaping today. We are built to boundary. When I got home I’ve noticed they’ve put three trees up against our wall on the boundary side, they’re currently not very tall but I’m afraid they will grow and can cause foundation damage? Photos bel...
